Why Keep A Logbook?


Apps like Strava and Fitbit may be fine for capturing basic workout data like steps, time & heart rate etc. but you can't beat a hand-written log for keeping a personal record of your workouts.

A written record is the best way to see the progress you are making towards meeting your training goals.

Studies show that people who actually write down their goals are more likely to achieve them!


Besides that, looking back at your old logbooks over the years can make for some interesting reading!  Even if you use an app for your workouts you can easily copy the information into your log and then add all the other things - like who you were with, weather, how you felt, etc.
