Sometimes the hardest part of running is just getting out of the house! Today's tip can help you keep running on a regular basis...

Get a running buddy.

Nothing will get you out of the door better than having to meet another runner. It also makes a nice change from the solitary runs, and certainly helps those long run miles go by. Make sure though that your running partner runs at a similar pace to you.

Another good way to keep motivated is to join a running club. The scheduled runs and the camaraderie all help!

When I was training for my first marathon by myself, my young son used to keep me company on his bike.

 About the author: Mike Stapenhurst

I am a “middle of the pack” runner with twenty marathons completed over the years. I’ve learned a lot about training and running during this time and would like to share my experiences with you in this series of weekly running tips.
